Fire Door Service & Maintenence

The latest (2023) fire door regulations clarified the requirement for 'Responsible Person', a person who is in fact, accountable, and has the overall duty-of-care for fire safety - and the person who would compile the up-to-date fire safety documentation.  This is normally a building owner or someone in the management company.

Peace of mind

Following on from our inspection role, if there are any aspects of a door that does not meet the required standards, we will advise as such in our report, and you can decide how to proceed with a service and/or maintenance. 

To give you peace of mind, we are able to service and maintain fire doors to the required standard.  The service and maintenance can include but is not limited to the following:

• Service and adjust hinges and closing mechanism

• Service any other moving elements such as drop seals and auto-closing grilles

• Remedy any sub-standard altererations to the doors

• Fill any minor gaps around the door frame and the wall

• Repair any minor visible damage (either deliberate or from wear and tear) to the door or door closer
