City & Guilds qualified Fire Door inspectors

Property owners are required by law (The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005) to make sure premises meet required standards of fire safety.

However, inspections and maintenance of fire doors is often lacking, hence many have been left to deteriorate - as was the case in the Grenfell tower tradegy.

Now, the regulations are strengthened to include a LEGAL REQUIREMENT to undertake QUARTERLY INSPECTIONS in certain buildings.  This goes alongside the existing inspection regime and duty of care for all buildings with two or more sets of domestic premises.

Responsibility falls on the RESPONSIBLE PERSON for the building's fire safety - and enables prosecution for persons who breach the requirements.  Consequently, Property Owners and Management companies must ensure fire door inspections are comprehensive and preventive maintenance is in place.
